There are times in our lives when it seems that all of our energy is depleted on simply surviving. Sometimes we are simply doing what we need to do to get through another day. Despite that very real perception, it is important to remember that our breath is a gift; we are not meant to simply survive. We are meant to thrive. Existence is NOT living. As much as we may believe that we do not have the passion or will to awaken our souls, it is often what we are not doing that perpetuates our apathy and exhaustion.
Even if the desire exists, how do we shake things up to add some excitement and inspiration to an otherwise routine day? It is actually not as difficult as one might think.

Explore different cultures by reading, watching a documentary, or experimenting with exotic recipes in your own kitchen. Push yourself to conquer your fears by skydiving, public speaking, or auditioning for a community theatre production. By stepping outside of what is familiar, you will awaken your soul and invigorate your spirit.
Another way to add that much-needed zing is by incorporating adventure into your everyday life. It doesn't have to involve grand gestures or expensive trips; small adventures can make a big difference too! Instead of taking the same route every day, why not opt for a scenic detour during your daily commute? Plan spontaneous weekend getaways to explore nearby towns or hiking trails you've never visited before. Street fairs, food festivals, and outdoor markets are great opportunities to immerse yourself in local culture and meet interesting new people. Remember: life is an adventure waiting for you to embrace its surprises!
