Manage your Thoughts.
Our lives are a reflection of our focus. That which we think, speak and indulge is that which will be continually personified in our daily existence. If we have decided that the world is cruel, corrupt, unloving and disconnected, that will be the truth of our experience. In contrast, if we have decided that the world is kind, honest, loving and connected, THAT will be the truth of our experience. This is not to suggest that one reality exists where the other does not; it is simply a reminder that believing is seeing. We will find evidence to support that which we think, believe and speak. Thoughts truly become things. So, if we wish to truly succeed (however we have defined it), we must be disciplined in effectively managing our thoughts.
The mere simplicity of this notion is often a trigger to defend the limitations of creative power. We are tempted to simply conclude that the world is unyielding in its presence and we are simply pawns placed on a field that we do not control. To do so is to surrender to perpetual victimization, failing to acknowledge that we may not control the world, but we have the ability to master our experience within it.
We are the ultimate prognosticator of our destiny. We prophesize daily by participating in a chain reaction that becomes our reality. Our thoughts create feelings which inspire actions. Those actions produce results that reinforce our initial thoughts. These thoughts than become beliefs that are automatic—habits that we no longer question. We unconsciously create a reality that may not be aligned with or conducive to our ultimate desire. We are the cause and the effect.
Success or sabotage? How are your thoughts and beliefs about the world inhibiting your ability to succeed? What would you need to think/believe instead? How will you begin to shift your thinking about the world and your role in it?
Is this going to be an incredible day? What do you think?
