Use your Power.
So much of our lives unfold according to our expectations. When we approach the day with an expectation of bad things unfolding, we should not be surprised when the evidence supports our assertion. We will always find evidence to support our beliefs. If we expect more good, we will experience more good. It is never what happens to us that defines our trajectory; it is the way that we respond to what happens to us that ultimately dictates our direction. When we are in the midst of trials and tribulations, people will remind us to "have faith." This is a tried and true cultural misstep. You do not need to have faith. You already have it. You either have faith in your ultimate victory or your ultimate defeat. Are you expecting the next proverbial shoe to drop or the next unexpected gift and opportunity? You do not need to have faith. You simply need to direct it. Faith meets expectation. So, what are you expecting?
Pay close attention to your thoughts today. How often are you engaging a negative narrative? When you catch yourself, change the story. It is not any easier to expect failure over success; it is simply an unconscious habit. Wake-up and use the power that you possess to your advantage!
Success or sabotage? Success demands clarity and a belief that it is possible for you. If you do not direct your faith to your own victory, there is no point in entering the race.
Is this going to be an incredible day? A day is neither good nor bad; it is formless and awaiting your “order.”
