Create your Legacy.
It is imperative that we continue to distinguish the difference between existing and living. One is arguably easier than the other!
What is "living" to you? Have you taken the time to define it? If not what is preventing you from doing so? One rarely (if ever) exceeds their own vision of possibility. In order to enjoy your best life, you have to be willing to take the time to decide what that looks like for you.
Indulge me with an exercise. I assure you, it will be time well spent. Write your eulogy. If you were to die today and had the luxury to hear what others would be saying about you and the life that you lived, what would they say? Rather than focusing on what they might say today, consider what you would prefer that others be saying about you. Be specific.
For what do you wish to be remembered? For many of us, there is a gap remaining between who we are and how we hope that we will be remembered. There are probably also a number of things that we still hope to accomplish as part of our legacy. There is no greater opportunity than today to begin to bring our vision to fruition.
If you wish to be remembered as "loving," what does that look like to others? If you wish to be remembered as "generous," what does that look like to others? If you wish to be remembered as "accomplished," what does that look like to others? What are the attitudes, actions, and behaviors that are personifications of that which you wish to create? How will you begin to create that reality today?
Success or sabotage? Success is an often elusive concept. It does not become concrete, possible or achievable until we take the time to define it.
Is this going to be an incredible day? Rather than allowing the day to decide, utilize your power to create the day that you deem as incredible. This day will never come again.
