Take the Time.
So often you will hear people speak in terms of how many hours they worked, how little they slept and how their lives are whirling out of control. It is almost a badge of honor in this country to surrender your health and well being for your employer. In many respects, we unconsciously equate time (spent) with quality. If you take a moment to go deeper and find out how people are spending their time and if it is aligned with their intentions for their lives, you will uncover a deeper truth in the story. In many cases, we are surrendering our lives by subscribing to an outdated belief of how life is "supposed to be."
Today, I was visited by a childhood memory. My family traveled around, moving from place to place and I was always the "new kid" in school." I was painfully shy and would battle incessant nausea that resulted from my nerves. I remember sitting alone at lunch or on the playground, longing for the day when I would be free. I would no longer be subjected to this systematic rape of my soul. Even now, I battle this flirtation with victimization which attempts to tell me that I am a prisoner to circumstances outside of my control. "It is just the way things are...." Then, I awaken. It is the big lie.
We are creating this experience. You are not subject to time; time is subject to you. Time has no more significance than that which you give it. It is not only a matter of what you are doing. Why are you doing it? This is not to say that every experience or moment of time is going to have profound meaning. It may not. It is simply a matter of choice. Take the time to examine your actions. Are they serving you? Are they a means to a favorable end (in some respect)? If not, why are you doing what you're doing?
Success or sabotage? Success is the result of conscious choices; which road are you choosing?
Is this going to be an incredible day? Manage your time to make it so!
