Awaken to Injustice.
If we are not part of the solution, we are part of the problem. It is time to awaken not simply to the injustice of the world, but to the injustice of our inaction. We have slept long enough. It is time to remind ourselves that success cannot and never will be an act of solitude. What we do affects others and vice versa. Prejudice, bias, discrimination and oppression exist because we (yes...WE) allow it to continue.
If we are working in an abusive work environment, we must ask what we have done to contribute to the life of this negativity. Have we taken effective actions to create something new? We are creative beings. The question is, what are we creating? Is what we are creating (or contributing to) aligned with our intentions? Focus on possibilities rather than limitations. What are the opportunities in this situation? What is begging to be born?
You need not be altruistic to care. For every action, there is a reaction. None of us has the luxury of living in a vacuum (though we may fool our selves into believing that this is the case). If we are to transform our lives and live more effectively, we must assume the responsibility for our choices in every moment. Performance is color, gender, and title-free. We can move mountains with the power of our thoughts, words and actions.
Success or sabotage? Unlimited success requires a compassion and empathy for those with whom we share the planet.
Is this going to be an incredible day? How will we work to make it so for ourselves and for others?
