Create greater Peace.
In the midst of our business (busy-ness), the concept of peace is often forgotten. Those of us who live with the luxuries of freedom, choice and security do not always find it necessary to give thought or action to a concept that is almost abstract in its size and implications. We care. We give serious consideration to the issues when they are brought to our attention. We may conclude that an issue of this magnitude requires an effort more concentrated than the time in our busy lives will allow. We move forward in hopes that SOMEONE will pay attention and move us effectively beyond the disconnection and discrimination that breeds violence, separation and wars.
It is important to remember that some wars do not involve weapons, tactile strategies and foreign soil. Some wars are fought in our heart with our families, neighbors, co-workers and lovers. If peace is a matter of importance, one must ask where it is lacking in our daily interactions. Think not in terms of others, but in terms of self. Where is there a need for healing? Who in your life remains unforgiven? Would your life be described as peaceful by a casual observer?
Success or sabotage? The big picture exceeds that which is in our immediate vision. You are certain to succeed when you value others as much as you value your self.
Is this going to be an incredible day? The day does not happen to you. It responds to you.
