Love is the greatest of all responsibilities. It flows naturally when one gets out of the way, but one must be conscious and disciplined to keep the contaminates of the ego from distilling its power and beauty. It is the grandest of all gifts and one that naturally elicits the most fear in others. To love is to be a true warrior of the spirit. One must be willing to stand in the light of vulnerability and allow the love to flow beyond the insecurities and baggage that we accumulate in our daily lives. It is easier to love those with whom you have great comfort. What about those who shake you at your very foundation?

The only possibility for peace in the world exists in our potential for love. If we are able to look beyond our story of someone and recognize them as simply human, we are awarded with the opportunity for love. As you walk through your day today, notice how many opportunities you have to show your love, kindness and respect for others. Notice how uncomfortable it may feel. Do you have the courage to step into your discomfort to express your love in your thoughts, words AND actions?
