Focus on Good.
There is an unfortunate, unrealized truth that often stands in the way of us getting what we want. As long as we are focused on that which we do not have, we will not succeed in transforming our circumstances. We must find a way to turn the current absence of our desires into an opportunity to relish that which we have already created.
Focusing on the abundance that we have makes us feel good. When we are feeling good, we are more receptive to creativity, problem-solving, and potential opportunities. Worrying is not conducive to success in any capacity. There is no value in rehearsing for what we do NOT want.
Get in the habit of evoking joy. Take some time at the beginning of each day to focus on that which you love. Direct your attention to the aspects of your life that make you happy. Express your appreciation aloud—” I love my apartment. I love my bed. I love my new sheets. I love the way the sunshine comes in through my window. I love how my dog wags his tail when he sees me. I love the way the carpet feels on my bare feet.” Keep going for as long as possible. Allow yourself to feel the love for these blessings. Practice this exercise as many times a day as possible. Notice how it makes you feel.
Success or sabotage? The way that we feel affects the way that we do the things that we do. If we continue to focus on our current failures, we will not have the vision, energy, and fortitude to open the door to success when it arrives.
Is this going to be an incredible day? Joy begets joy. Allow your love and appreciation for the presence of another day to attract even more abundance.
