Exercise your Power.

If we wish to transform our lives, we must be willing to exercise our inherent power. The path of least resistance is always to surrender to current circumstances and hope for change. Unfortunately, this often becomes a cycle that we feed and perpetuate through negative thinking and inaction. Habitually, we are often tempted to indulge the discomfort in hopes that we will be rescued. Many of us are even addicted to pain. We may be unconscious of our attachment, but will nourish it by continuing to share our stories of woe, playing sad music, and overeating. We should not repress the pain (we cannot get beyond what we refuse to acknowledge), but if we wish to move beyond it, we must refrain from “feeding the beast.”

We are energetic beings all functioning at various frequencies. The frequency (like a radio or television station) is dependent upon the station that we have selected. The selection is most often unconscious, but we have made it nonetheless. We either select consciously or unconsciously, by allowing circumstances to select for us. The emotions that we engage determine the frequency or “station” to which we are tuned. Emotions that we consider negative such as hatred, envy, fear, and despair are lower frequencies. Joy, love, compassion, and affection are higher frequencies. When we are functioning on a lower frequency, we feel physically depleted. We have less energy because we are plugged into a lower vibration. When we are functioning on a higher frequency, we are buoyant and full of energy. We have all had the experience of being in a room with someone that seems to suck the energy out of the room. This is because they are functioning on a lower frequency, so they drain from ours.

This level of understanding is important because it has a direct correlation with the experience that is our life. We will only draw into our experience that which exists at the same vibration. So, when we are having what we have labeled as a “bad” day, negative things will continue to occur because we are plugged into a lower vibration. So, if we want to turn things around, we must turn “the dial” up to a higher frequency. This means that we must do everything in our power to feel good by raising our vibration. Think of it as having our own personal, built-in radio dial. How are we going to turn it up?

Instead of doing an inventory of all that is not going according to desire, list all that IS going well. For things that are undesirable in your life, articulate what you want (and will have) instead. Place your order! Reach out to supportive friends and family and tell them how much they mean to you. Thank them for their presence and participation in your life. Play music that lifts your spirit. Dance. Play. Engage your spirit in a way that creates space for greater joy. Raise that vibration!

Success or sabotage? Success is not simply an achievement; it is a discipline. Are you willing to do what is required to make it yours?

Is this going to be an incredible day? A day is neither good nor bad by virtue of its experience; it is determined by your intention and response.
