Move beyond Apathy.

When you doubt the power of apathy and resignation, simply look around. If you open your eyes and truly see, you will witness the quiet decay of the "walking wounded." There may have been times in your own life when you found yourself simply going through the motions--doing what was necessary to survive, but finding your life void of passion or excitement. Fear is a force to be reckoned with (an employee in need of micro-management). If given the opportunity, it will strip away at your soul, piece by piece, in a naive attempt to protect you from perceived discomfort or danger. You will find your self numb--anesthetized from feeling too much in hopes of safety.

We are especially vulnerable during holiday periods when expectations are heightened and reality often falls short of the commercial marketing scene. There are small things that you can do to stay connected to your soul. Take time to meditate every day. It is very important to stay in touch with your inner guidance and emotions. Don't fall prey to the "I don't have time" reasoning of your ego. It is simply a lie. If you have not done so already, take the time EVERY DAY to keep a gratitude journal. Simply note five things that you are grateful for from this day.  Over time, these simple exercises will transform your life in ways that you never thought possible.

Success or sabotage? Finding comfort in apathy is a form of self-sabotage. The road to success is bumpy; There are many ups and downs in the emotional forecast.

Is this going to be an incredible day? Do you even know what it means to have an "incredible day?" Are you willing to do what is necessary to find out?
