Take the Step.

We spend so much time waiting for the “right moment.” We wait until we have enough money, until we have enough time, until we have lost more weight, until we are done with this project, until our kids are done with school. The list goes on. Often by waiting, we are neglecting the things that truly matter, like our relationships, health, service to others, and love. Time waits for no one. Every time that we put off another dream or inclination, we are reorganizing our priorities and turning our backs on our souls. There is no judgment about the choice; the choice that you make is personal. The question for all of us should be: are we happy with the results?

What are you denying? What is the yearning in your soul that you have chosen to place comfortably in “the waiting room”? Do you feel that you are living in a self-created purgatory? If the answer is “yes,” what are you going to do to move out of it?

First, you must open the door with some uncomfortable honesty. What is it that you are NOT doing? Avoid the habit and temptation of getting caught up in the logic and reasoning that substantiates your inaction. Simply ask, “is my life working for me?” If you conclude that the answer is “no,” what will you do beginning today to make a shift? The move doesn’t need to be mammoth; even a small step will serve you well.

Success or sabotage? In our hearts, we all know the difference. Don’t allow your head to maneuver you away from the fear of your truth.

Is this going to be an incredible day? A small step in favor of your heart’s desire might make all the difference. Consider it.
