Move toward Fear.
We must refuse to be conquered by our (sometimes) limited perspective. There are moments in life when we look at what we wish to achieve and conclude that it is simply impossible to accomplish. We are viewing the “peak” from the bottom of the mountain. It is only when we continue to take small, focused steps that the obstacles begin to appear somewhat smaller, closer and manageable. The once impossible becomes possible.
After we have reached the top and actually achieved the goal, it begins to seem as if it was not that big of a climb. In retrospect, we wonder why we questioned our capabilities.
It is easy to validate our fears and reasons for staying stagnant in a life that we no longer desire. It is much more challenging to step in the direction of our fears and surrender to imminent failure. It is only when we decide (in comparison to our current existence) that even failure is a winning strategy that we begin to conquer our fears and remember our true nature. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
What frightens you? What was the first thought that entered your mind? What will you do today to move in the direction (and in spite of) your fear? Remember, if you want to change your life, you are going to have to be willing to take risks.
Success or sabotage? Success shows up when we are willing to surrender our need for it.
Is this going to be an incredible day? Measure the value of each day by deciding what you would like to see happen before the day begins. What would you like to be saying at the end of the day about the day that has just passed? How will you measure your effectiveness in that regard? Once you have clarified your “measurements,” you have set some achievable goals.
