Embrace your Teachers.

There is no such thing as a mistake (not for those who realize that the world operates on the laws of cause and effect). The worst thing that can happen is that we realize that we could have made a more effective choice given our intention. Sometimes the only way that we know is to experience the effect that we caused as a result of our choice. If we receive nothing else from a seemingly adverse situation, we will receive greater clarity.

Consider the great teachers in your life—those who taught you the most valuable lessons about yourself and the world at large. In many cases, they were not people that you would happily invite to dinner and a movie. They are often people that we could easily categorize as irritating “thorns” in our side. They may have pushed our buttons in ways that did not suit us, but it ultimately resulted in an important realization or awakening.

Think about those who have really gotten under your skin. If you were forced to name one, what was the gift of the experience of your interactions? What were the lessons of that experience? How have you (or could you) utilized that experience to benefit you?

Success or sabotage? Are you able to see all conditions as serving you or do you find yourself investing in a never-ending victim mentality? What if you viewed every circumstance as a beneficial opportunity?

Is this going to be an incredible day? When you expect good, no matter how things initially appear, you will find that the universe will respond in kind.
