Embrace the Obstacles.

Things do not always go according to plan. When we are presented with unexpected challenges and obstacles, it is very easy to surrender to a belief that the universe is a foe that must be tamed and conquered. It is a philosophy to which most of us can relate, but one that ends up becoming its own obstacle. When we are living our lives defensively, always waiting for the next “shoe to drop,” we are often blinding ourselves to the gifts and opportunities in the moment.

We can choose to invest in one of two philosophies of life: I have terrible luck (nothing ever works out for me) or I am charmed (everything is always working out for me). One of the two will make you more receptive to the power, possibility and opportunities available; the other will not. One is anchored in resistance; the other in surrender.

Believing is seeing. If you believe that the world is conspiring against you, you will always miraculously find the evidence to support it. The same also holds true for the alternative. If you believe that the world is conspiring to see that you succeed, you will suddenly find the evidence that supports your belief.

Reflect back on your life to date. Consider a time when you were faced with (what seemed to be) insurmountable obstacles that actually became opportunities. How many times in your life have unwelcome circumstances or occurrences actually been great gifts in disguise? Notice how often the best times in your life have been unplanned.

Free yourself today by creating a little magic. Decide, declare and affirm that (today): “Everything is working out for me. Everything is always working out for me. I see the power, possibility and potential in every circumstance. I know that whatever arises, no matter how things initially appear, that everything is always working out for me.” Allow this to be your mantra. Repeat it to yourself throughout the day.

Success or sabotage? Success is often detoured by resistance. Once we decide that success is our natural birthright, it becomes easier to attain.

Is this going to be an incredible day? Remember, it is not the day that is good or bad; it is your response to it. You have the power to decide what kind of day you are going to have before the day even begins.
