The greatest challenge of managing yourself effectively is to invest your energy wisely. You want to be clear that you are investing in such a way that you will get a return (rather than simply a depletion of your energy).  There may be activities, responsibilities and even people in your life that literally suck the energy right out of you, with no hope of a return on your investment. These are "vampires" and they will drain you of your life's energy if you allow it.

Take some time today to list all of the challenges that seem to stand in the way of you and your highest vision of yourself. Are any of these challenges the result of unwise investments or vampires? If so, what might you do invest more effectively? How can you begin to make a shift TODAY that will move you in the right direction? What is the cost of NOT investing properly?
