Examine your Values.
What are your core beliefs? What is it that defines your character? For what are you willing to fight? If you have not given thought to these questions, perhaps you should take some time to seriously evaluate your values.
Success, by any definition, is best fueled when you align your values and intentions with your thoughts, words and actions. If you are unclear about why you are doing what you are doing, you are simply perpetuating a cycle of self-sabotage and defeat. If another was asked to describe your values, what would they say?
Take some time for self-reflection. Don't be afraid to ask yourself some very challenging questions. Are your beliefs well founded in your personal experience or are they philosophies that have been passed on from others (family, friends, etc)? Who would you be if you adopted a different set of values?
Success or sabotage? When you defined "success" for yourself, did you take the time to examine your values in relation to your objectives? If the two are not aligned, you will never succeed.
Is this going to be an incredible day? What do you value in the course of a day? How do you evaluate its success?
