Re-anchor and Recalibrate.

Let’s face it. Sometimes the challenges of daily life can be daunting. It is easy to fall into a state of depression, feeling that we are powerless to make any significant change, both in ourselves and in the world. Rather than surrendering to apathy, it is simply a reminder that it is time to re-anchor and recalibrate.

The temptation to ask “why?” and bemoan the injustice of the circumstances is always present. But, no matter how valid, it is often a question that will simply send us further down a dark spiral of hopelessness. Instead, direct your focus to what is—to all of the good, gifts and blessings that are present in your current existence. Take your time to indulge in deep appreciation, truly relishing the comforts that you have created. Move gently up the emotional ladder. It may be unrealistic for us to move from despondent to joyful, but we can expand our awareness of the present good to achieve a level of greater peace.

Bring to mind the things that you love. Speak the list aloud, each item preceded with “I love.” Keep adding to your list—”I love the beach. I love sunshine. I love butter pecan ice cream. I love my dog. I love my down comforter. I love my mother.” Continue without ceasing until you begin to feel a shift in your vibration. This is a helpful reminder of the power that we hold to help manage our well-being.

Success or sabotage? Success requires a consistent discipline to look beyond our current condition. We must develop the ability to shift our focus to the power and possibility in every circumstance.

Is this going to be an incredible day? If we refuse to fall victim to that which is beyond our control, we can assume the power of creation which is always at our disposal.
