Use your Mind.

Freedom is a thought away. I hate to oversimplify a remedy to seemingly complex challenges, but we really do have an oasis within should we choose to utilize it.

So many of the difficulties that we experience in life can be connected with the story that we are telling about ourselves, the world and and the circumstances of our daily interactions. We have a reservoir of thoughts at our disposal at all times. Unfortunately, for most of us, many of those thoughts are running on auto-play in a never-ending loop (and we have never stopped to consider whether we are tired of the “song”).

We cannot underestimate the power of conditioning that has been instrumental in the construction of those stories. Many thoughts simply happen without a conscious nudging (we never pressed “play”). It is vital that we remember, however that we do have the power to manage and (sometimes) control our thoughts.

Take some time to appreciate the miracle that is your mind. Revel in its capabilities. Spend some time in an oasis of your own creation. Visualize your own version of paradise. Place yourself there, inside that thought and bask in the peace and beauty of your vision. No one or no thing can enter or bother you here unless you provide permission. Notice how your body relaxes, your heartbeat slows and your blood pressure lowers. Breathe into and immerse yourself in bliss.

Success or sabotage? Many of the challenges that we label as obstacles can be conquered and even overcome if we will simply use the power that is at our disposal.

Is this going to be an incredible day? What do you THINK?
