How willing are you to let go of expectations and trust in the divine order of the universe? When you are in the midst of your victim song--"why did it have to go this way? why does this always happen to me? why do i have such bad luck?"--are you able to stop just short of the chorus to look for the gift of the circumstance? Where is the divine in the experience?  If God is indeed omnipresent (as many believe), there is no place that is apart from the divine. If God is in the details, where is He/She now?

Think back on a time in your life when you felt that everything was going wrong. What was the gift of the experience? How did this experience enrich your life?  Is there something that you are facing now that seems less than fun-filled and adventurous? Consider approaching it as an adventure; you are on the safari of the unexpected (certain to return with greater abundance and treasure!).
