A crucial part of the formula for success (however it is defined) is ones ability to see the opportunity in all circumstances. Toddlers learn how to walk through trial and error; they achieve balance by finding and maintaining their center while attempting to move across the room. They may fall several times in the process, but each failed attempt provides them with a greater sense of what they "might do" to succeed.  Eventually, their attempts are met with success and their execution becomes the formula for success. The same process is true for creating a successful life--whether you are riding a bike, building a business or committing to a healthy relationship. We learn from the experience of cause and effect.

Take a moment to examine your own formula for success. If you had to express your truth in three lessons, what would they be?  What do you know now that you did not know 5-10 years ago? What were the experiences that provided the most value for you in your learning?

Success or sabotage? Success is easier to achieve when you realize that every road CAN be an effective route to your destination should you choose to make it so.
