Seize the Pen.

There are days when I awaken to an inexplicable darkness, a weariness for a life that seems to have beaten me down. Often my mind will begin to play a montage of recent disappointments on a loop, a rerun accentuating how my life on this planet has really been little more than a persistent annoyance to myself and to others. I could give in, put the covers of the bed over my head and surrender, finally admitting that I have been conquered. Or I can remember that this is merely a moment in time, an uncomfortable ebb in the flow of a life of a sizable trajectory and get up to face the day.

Our experience of life is, in large part, a response to the story that we are telling ourselves. It is only when you remember that you are the author that you have the power to seize the pen and write a new chapter in a plot that may be taking an unfavorable turn.  It is not about what happens to you; it is about how you respond to it.  You may either conquer or be conquered. The world (and your day) anxiously awaits your direction. So, it is time to place your order. Who do you want to be today? How will you overcome the potential challenges and obstacles in your path to bring that to fruition?

Success or sabotage?  Success is an indirect path. You may be clear in your vision, but the journey is rarely direct and is often fraught with detours.

Is this going to be an incredible day? Are you willing to ease your grip and enjoy the journey, realizing that even a bumpy ride will get you to your desired destination? You've got this.
