Take the Risk.

Sometimes, in order to cross the bridge between existing and living, you have to be willing to put it all on the line and risk what others may label as "failure." This elicits a question: what are the steps that you are not taking? I am guessing that something came to mind. Since you have a sense of what a next step might be, what is preventing you from taking it?

Most of us are familiar with Einstein's categorization of insanity--doing the same thing and expecting a different result. If you desire a different life, you have to make different choices. How deep is your desire? Does the breadth of your desire exceed the security of your comfort? You are already answering the question with your action/inaction and choices that are solidifying your path forward. Rather than fixating on why you are not doing what you feel needs to be done, consider the cost of NOT doing it.  Is your present dissatisfaction greater than your fear of potential failure? It may be time to do a little risk analysis. Often, the narrative in our head is based on faulty assumptions, conjecture, and fear. You may have already considered the potential cost of failure; have you considered the possible rewards from success?

Success or sabotage? Success is individually defined. A "failure" is only a true failure if you refuse to gain any wisdom from the experience or if you never move from analysis to action.

Is this going to be an incredible day?  What are you willing to risk to make it so?
