Open the Door.

We all want to be seen. We all want to be heard. We all want to feel as if we matter. So much of the craziness that unfolds on our planet is the result of disconnection. We often fear that our life and presence on this planet has little value. This fear, this hunger for connection and meaning, can erode our possibility and potential. Our belief that we are stuck (that others will never see, understand or acknowledge our value) can deepen our disconnection and become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you want something for yourself, open the door by creating it for another. Make it your mission to see, hear and let others know that THEY matter. Give to others and you will eventually discover that you are (also) giving to yourself.

Today, I invite you to step out of comfortable isolation. Say "hello" to those that you pass on the street, in the office or at the store. Smile. Ask others how they are feeling today and actually listen to their answer. Make eye contact. Call two people today and tell them how much you appreciate them. Tell them why you value them (be specific). Identify someone that you perceive to be in need and ask them if you may help them.  Accentuate and deepen your value by providing it to another.

Success or sabotage? Rather than awaiting success to arrive, create it. Be the demonstration of the treatment and behavior that you hope to receive.

Is this going to be an incredible day? This day is ripe with possibility. It is simply waiting for you to "bite into it."
