Manage the Day.

It is so easy to surrender to the circumstances of the day. We often find ourselves rating the value and comfort of a day in accordance with its "cooperation." Did things go my way? Was I burdened with unwelcome or unexpected circumstances? Did I feel as if I was a co-creator of my experience or simply a pawn in an uncontrollable universe?

We must remember that success can only be attained if we take the time to actually define it.  Before you allow the day to take the lead, manage the day. Begin by defining what constitutes a "good" or "successful" day before you become a part of it. What are the aspects of your definition that are within your control? What actions  (within your power) will you take to make this day successful for you?  What is your commitment? When you are greeted with unwelcome circumstances, how will you remind yourself of your intention so that you can get back on track?

Be mindful not to simply focus on tasks at the expense of the simple joys that make life worth living. In the midst of your obligations, how will you invite some fun/joy into your day?

Success or sabotage?  When you feed yourself first, you have the capacity to give to others.

Is this going to be an incredible day? Rise up and make it a priority!
