Nurture your Mind.
We live in a society that perpetuates a never-ending focus on what is missing from our lives. Products are marketed with the implication that with their use or possession you will finally be complete. Television shows celebrate the lives of the uber-wealthy, giving us a peek into lives that most of us will never personally experience. There is no shortage of societal messages encouraging us to believe that we are less than who we need to be to attain satisfaction, fulfillment, and happiness.
To be the exception to the rule, to move beyond the choir of naysayers, to exceed the limitations our own fears, we must feed the power, potential and possibility that resides within. We must direct our faith by envisioning ourselves as being winners in the race, knowing that we are the true architects of our existence. We must remain vigilant.
When you catch yourself entertaining expectations of failure, lost opportunities and negative outcomes, examine your assumptions. If you are going to invest in the unknown, why not consider the scenario where you emerge as victorious? Reframe the story that you are telling. You are the author. Manage that editorial in your head or it will manage you!
Watch your words. When you catch yourself speaking words of lack or limitation ("can't," "not," and "no"), stop and rephrase, expressing what you CAN do or WANT instead.
Success or sabotage? Success requires you to believe in your own possibility. If you don't believe in yourself, why should anyone else?
Is this going to be an incredible day? How will you manage your thoughts to create the opportunities for a day that is aligned with your desires?
