Sing your Song.
Recently, I saw an elderly man walking alone down the street. He wandered slowly and aimlessly, stopping every few feet, probably to take in some scenery and to catch his breath. At one point, he stopped and seemed to laugh with great delight at the sight of two urban squirrels playing in a tree. I smiled as well. It was not the squirrels (they were cute and all, but did not engage my attention), but the man that gave me delight. He laughed with great abandon. For that moment, I could stop and appreciate the beauty of simplicity and the entertainment that life has to offer in its everyday form. He did not hold it in. He was not allowing his age, the winter air or the stranger watching him from a distance to curb his enthusiasm.
Are you singing your song? Or are you holding it in, waiting for the time to be "right" or for the invitation to arrive? If you knew that you only had today, would you sing or would you take your song with you?
It is Monday and you're alive. Is there a better reason to sing?
Success or sabotage? Are you willing to create and engage success or are you more comfortable in quiet despair?
Is this going to be an incredible day? What is the song of your heart? Are you ready to play it?
