Give graciously Today.

This planet is aching for an awakening. The conflicts that continue to occur in our neighborhoods and around the world are signs that something greater is yearning to be born. We may either continue to live in the routine of the status quo or we may shake things up by acting outside of our "norm." For every action, there is a reaction. What we do truly affects the planet. Our actions may not have an impact that makes the evening news (or at least that mentions our names), but we influence the lives of those around us simply by breathing.

Let's look at an example used many times in the past. You are at the drugstore, purchasing something and you smile and say "hello" to the person standing behind you in line. That person may have been feeling disconnected and have decided to end his/her life. Your smile--a mere glimpse in time--may have altered that decision and have provided a stranger with a renewed sense of possibility. Far-fetched and unlikely? Not at all. Perhaps you snap at a cab driver (unhappy with the events of the day) and barely give him a tip because (for you) he responded with a cold disconnection. The driver (upset at your behavior), in-turn, treats the next passenger poorly. That passenger (disturbed by the rudity he receives from the driver) snaps at his wife. The beat goes on. We are all connected in ways that often escape our attention.

Our choices matter--not just to our selves and our family and friends, but to everyone. I invite you today to step out of your comfort and give UNNECESSARILY and graciously to those around you today. Step boldly into the creation of a different kind of day. See how much joy you can spread and imagine the ripple that will create in this big pond that is the world.

Success or sabotage? Are you willing to create greater success for others?

Is this going to be an incredible day? If you are willing to make this day incredible for another, you will reap more rewards than you can possibly imagine.
